Published Feb 10, 2023

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (February 10, 2023) – The Flower City Union today announced that Jordan Sullivan has been named the head coach for the 2023 Season.

“We are extremely excited to have Jordan leading the team into our second season as we hope to continue the club’s growth both on and off the field.” said Flower City Union General Manager Andrew Hoyt.

A native of London, United Kingdom, Jordan Sullivan has dedicated his entire life to coaching and playing soccer.

At the age of 16, he was the youngest coach in his class to receive a UEFA B Diploma (FA 1 & 2) and at 20 years old completed FA Level 3 coaching badge. While in England, Jordan worked his way up from Assistant Coach to Head Coach for Queens Park Rangers Academy.

Growing up in London, Jordan spent years playing in the Southern League Premier Division and competed in the FA Cup during his 5 years at Hayes and Yeading United F.C.

In 2017, Jordan moved to the United States to pursue the “American Dream” where he started off coaching for Global Premier Soccer and Rochester Futbol Club. He was then offered an opportunity to play college soccer while earning two full-ride scholarships at Monroe Community College and Roberts Wesleyan where he received a bachelor's degree in Business and Sports Management. Upon graduation, Jordan played for the Rochester Lancers indoor (MASL) and outdoor men’s team (UPSL).

Recently, he founded the Rochester Lancers Men’s UPSL team where he was the Head Coach and General Manager. Jordan was the First Assistant for Flower City Union during the 2022 season.

Jordan is “Rooted in Rochester” as he currently resides in Rochester, NY with his wife, whose name is also Jordynn (Barnhart) Sullivan. He is living his dream life and gives all credit to his father, Brian Sullivan, who told him at a young age to follow his dreams and find a career that he loves.

"I am excited to be appointed the Head Coach for Flower City Union. The opportunity to lead the team is a dream come true. I am excited to be able to lead the team in a direction that is focused on new strategies, styles of play and ultimately success.” said Jordan Sullivan.

Flower City Union will open the 2023 season on April 1st vs the Maryland Bobcats at the Maryland Soccerplex.
